Mike graduated with honors from the Liverpool University Dental School in 2009 with several prizes including the University Prize in Dental Surgery for finishing top of his year. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has undertaken hospitals posts in general duties and restorative dentistry as well as general practice and has published papers in a number of fields. His main focus has always been in restorative dentistry and in particular endodontics and he was appointed Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Liverpool University Dental Hospital in April 2013 and then as a Speciality Registrar in Endodontics in September 2014. He has recently completed in his final year of specialist training and is currently finishing his doctoral thesis on CBCT in difficult endodontic cases.
In addition to his training Mike has spent much of his time teaching undergraduates, dental core trainees and generalists as well as giving presentations and lectures at local, regional and national events. He ran two well received workshops at the BDA conference on simplifying endodontic treatment for the general dentist and lectured on post endodontic restorations at the My Dentist conference in Birmingham.
Mike has been part of the team at Rose Lane for the last few years and is happy to accept referrals for all aspects of endodontic treatment, including diagnosis, primary RCT, re-treatment cases, removal of posts and instruments, perforation repair, open apex/trauma cases and endodontic surgery including apical surgery and surgical repair of resorption defects. He also maintains an interest in the restorative aspects of endodontically treated teeth and can provide post, cores and indirect restorations upon request.
